Club Volleyball

After Megan's school volleyball season ended, she decided to try out for a club team so that she could get more practice and experience. The team played together from November through April.  Their team played in tournaments in Little Rock, Fort Smith, Springfield, Branson, Joplin, and a couple locally.  We were able to have some good mom/daughter bonding time as I traveled with her to all of her tournaments.  She gained a lot of experience during the season, and was able to make new friends from other schools.  The team even ended on a high note as they won 1st place in their last tournament. It was a long, but good season.

A Trip to War Eagle Mill

Mike's mom and dad came out for a visit in March while the kids were out for spring break.  We decided one day to take a little trip to see War Eagle Mill.  It was a beautiful drive until we got half way up, and then it got very smoky.  They were doing a controlled burn that day, and so there was smoke and fire all along the road.  It kind of freaked the kids out.
We were detoured a bit, but finally made it up.

The kids had fun seeing how the mill worked, and getting some bread to taste.

It was a fun day!

Snow, snow and more snow!!

In the five years we've lived here, not a year has gone by that we haven't gotten a good snow storms that shuts down the schools and city for a few days.  This year was no exception.

The first big storm.

Noah and Mike went out and built a snowman together.  Noah was very proud of it.
The snow started to melt, and we thought we were done with our big storm of the year.  But a few days later, storm #2 came through.  It started snowing, and seemed like it would never stop.
The snow was so deep, Daisy had to go under the trampoline to go potty.

We thought Megan could use some exercise, so we sent her out to shovel.

She had more fun playing though.

We especially enjoyed staying inside doing this...
