Baseball

Noah decided to give baseball another try during the spring.  He was hoping to be on the Angels, but instead was on the Oakland A's.  

The coaches were great about rotating the boys so that they could try all of the field positions.  Noah said he liked playing pitcher the best.  No matter what position he played, he was always in the "ready position".

He had awesome coaches this year that worked really hard with the boys, and really encouraged them.  Noah learned so much this season, and made a lot of improvement.  His coaches said that he was the best listener on the team, and always worked on what they told him to.  We can't wait for next season!

Megan turns 14

June 8th was a big day at our house for two reasons:  it was the last day of school, and is was Megan's 14th birthday!  They are usually out of school by the time her birthday rolls around, but because of an abundance of snow make-up days this year she was able to celebrate her birthday at school.

After school she had her 3 best friends come over.  They went out to dinner at Mimi's Cafe, and then shopping.  Then they came home and went swimming.

And then they came back for some "Death by Chocolate" cake - Megan's favorite.

And of course that was followed by the girls staying up till all hours of the night.  It was a fun birthday!

Noah Graduates!

Noah finished school a couple of weeks earlier than his sisters.  On the last day of preschool they had a graduation.

And received a preschool diploma.  They each told what the wanted to be when the got older.  Noah said he wanted to be a baseball player, a race car driver, or an astronaut.

Pet Parade

Sammy talked me into bringing Daisy to school to participate in the annual Pet Parade.  Daisy was so excited to be socializing with what seemed to be hundreds of other dogs.

Daisy loves kids, and she loves getting attention, so I figured she would be in heaven.

But it was a hot day, and she had already worn herself out playing with the other dogs before the parade started.  She started to decide that she didn't want to be petted anymore. Notice her trying to go to the right.

A little farther right.  I kept having to pull her back towards the kids.

And she's done.

Choir

Megan's school choir had a couple of events during May.  The first was her spring choir concert.  They sounded great like they always do. She will be in choir again next year at the high school. 

They also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a Arkansas Naturals baseball game.

It was a beautiful night, and we spent most of the night watching the game from the outfield while the kids played at the playground.  It was a fun family night.

Back to Volleyball

Megan tried out for and made the 9th grade volleyball team for next year.  She has worked so hard over the past year, and has really come a long way.  It's going to be a busy summer and fall, but we can't wait to be part of another season with her!
