We woke up on day 3 and found we were in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. Georgetown is the capital of the Cayman Islands, in the British West Indies.
Our first view of Georgetown
In order to get off the ship and head onto the island, you had to get on a tender.
We decided to split up and do different activities on the island. Mike and Megan went off together to learn how to scuba dive.
Megan on the tender, heading to the island.
Ready to learn to scuba!
Checking out the equipment
First they took them out to this swimming pool to learn to use the equipment, and get comfortable with it.
Then they went into the Caribbean sea right here for a scuba dive over Casuarina Reef marine park. On their dive they were able to see lots of neat fish and sea creatures, including a barracuda. They had a great time!
Strange cemetery next to the scuba place.
Heading back to the ship after a tiring dive.
Meanwhile, the rest of us went to Seven Mile Beach to spend the day playing in the sand and water.
The water was so clear, warm, and beautiful

Seven Mile Beach
Some people next to us found a sea urchin on the rocks.
Check out my foot in this awesome water!
Grandpa was so fun to play with in the water...
And in the sand. The sand was awesome - so soft and white.
The kids loved the beach here, and wished we could stay all day. They brought back a ton of sand with them.
After a few hours on the beach, we got back on the shuttle to head back towards the ship, and to find something to eat. They drive on the opposite side of the road, which felt so strange.
There wasn't many options within walking distance, and everyone was starving. We ended up at Dairy Queen of all places. I can't say I'd recommend it.
This cute stray dog just laid there waiting on someone to take pity on him and feed him something.
On our tender back to the ship, we passed this cool pirate ship.
Shortly after we got back on the ship, it was time for the ship to depart. It was neat to go out and watch as the ship left. There were all kinds of men doing different jobs.
Rain storm moving in over the island as we left.
Following the other ships back out to sea.
On our way to our next destination.
That night at dinner they had Italian night. They served an Italian menu, and all of the servers gathered together to sing us an Italian love song.
Our server, Eva made Sammy a lovely hat out of a napkin.
Full from dinner, and tired after a fun day.
